A very well located property in Kalpatta Town near Old Bus Stand and Opposite Post Office. Ample parking, very spacious room and very good staff. Thank you very much for a very pleasant stay. The only drawback is that there is no restaurant nearby and the road to the property is very narrow. But room delivery is available for food.

A decent stay perfect for solo travellers

During one of my solo bike rides from Chennai to Coorg, I took a detour to check out Wayanad and since Coorg is just a few hours by road from there, I decided to use the small town also for a layover. A quick search told me about the limited options this tourist location has and as I was all by myself, I didn't mind taking a risk by choosing whatever has a decent rating. iCon Residency in Kalpetta had some really good reviews and in no time, I was in Kerala via Bangalore. iCon Residency is located on National Highway 212. Though the direction on Google Maps is accurate, finding the place was quite a challenge as it's located past a narrow street. The hotel looks brilliant from the outside in total contrast to the otherwise old town. There's also a decent parking space. The basic room I opted for is small when compared to average rooms but for a solo traveller, it was cosy and perfect. The bed too was not exactly a double bed but something that's a little larger than a single bed. I was glad that I had it all for me. The bathroom too is small but was very clean. I had to leave early the next day morning, so I couldn't try what they had to offer for breakfast. The night before, there are many restaurants nearby and finding yummy Keralan food wasn't tough at all. The staff were helpful with guiding me with routes to the nearest tourist destinations which are aplenty in this region. On the whole, it was quite a lovely experience at iCon Residency.

I had booked hotel through GOIBIBO website for 2 Adult & 2 Children as i had children along with me i always review bed type before booking as goibibo website was not showing size of the bed for Deluxe A/C Room i went to hotel website to check the bed size it was clearly mentioned King Size so i went ahead with the booking but when we checked in we found the room size only is of King Size bed for family of four and bed is queen size when contacted front desk they clearly wash their hand telling that what i have booked i have got according to the picture of IBIBO and i do not who has made him manager he was asking were does IBIBO voucher mentioned King size bed and he was telling he has given room as per Picture on ibibo website but the thing is same picture on hotel website which is of there own clearly mentioned king size bed for that room category and went on arguing telling that hotel website is not been updated since 5 years i do not no then what type of manager he is that he has not advise concerned to update the website. They told they will give extra mattress booking which we had already paid for while but putting the extra matters in that room means blocking the way for toilet if we put other way then for door and ward rob which is not flexible for so called luxury hotel and more over the hotel has 2 block neither hotel is mentioning any where in there website nor the GOIBIBO who say GO verified i don’t no what they have verified.. That stay of maximum guest booking online will be in old block not in the new one which they are showing on there website Uploading picture how the luxury was for us along with snap shot of hotel website for the room category.. Complaint to Go IBIBO That was also waste they also dint replied on time there 10 minutes equals was more than 1 hour that if you followed yourself just we dint wanted to spoil the sleep and waste our time we spent our night adjusting our self. So family beware of this hotel they are join in hand with MTT and Go IBIBO and making people fool . I my myself being a travel agent faced this problem imagine for customer.

icon Residency in the heart of Kalpetta is a great place to spend a few days to a few months. It is very well kept and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It doesn't have a restaurant but there are many restaurants just a few minutes away for all your meals.

Nice location in center of the town. Close to Bus Station and food places. Rooms are small but clean and tidy. Budget friendly hotel for families, solo travelers and group travelers. Friendly staff and good service.
